BANDIPORA, July 7: Locals of Tualil-Gurez in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district have accused the authorities of their failure to repair the dilapidated roads in the area.
Several villages of border area of Gurez valley of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district are facing problems due to bad condition of roads.
Several link roads along with main road Dawar Tulail are in bad condition from for the last several years.
Potholes dotting Dawar Tulail road force vehicles to ply at a snail’s pace. The road connects scores of localities with Dawar and Bandimpora.
Locals told Kashmir Despatch that rainy days give tough times to commuters especially students to walk on these roads. A resident of Sheikhpora Ghulam Hassan said that due to the bad road conditions, the vehicles suffer extensive damages every year, and particularly the patients are facing a tough time to reach hospital through the dilapidated road.
The locals appealed to the LG administration and Deputy Commissioner Bandipora to personally look into the matter and help to resolve their genuine grievances.
