GVEI holds 15th Annual Inter School Business Quiz

Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) on Thursday hosted its 15th Annual Inter School Business Quiz, “The Quizzard: Clash of the Elite 2024.

The quiz was attended by students from eight prominent schools, including SP Higher Secondary School, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Zadibal, SRM Welkin Sopore, Kashmir Harvard Educational Institute, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Soura, Islamia Higher Secondary School, Government Boys Higher Secondary School Hazratbal and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Khanyar.

Registrar Kashmir University Prof. (Dr) Naseer Iqbal was the chief guest at the occasion.
Head of the Department of Management Studies at the University of Kashmir Prof. Basheer Ahmad Joo and former Head of Finance at SAIL and Chairman of the CMA Srinagar Chapter Bashir Masoudi were guests of honour.

Later, GVEI emerged victorious, securing the first position, followed by Government Girls Higher Secondary School Khanyar in second place and SRM Welkin Sopore in third.

In a special segment, students who passed the CMA Foundation courses were felicitated, including Anushah Gul, an alumna of GVEI, who was awarded for securing the first position in the CMA Foundation course for June 2024.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Naseer Iqbal interacted with students and advised them to focus on their careers and future aspirations.

Prof. Basheer Ahmad Joo in his address emphasized the importance of participation over winning, encouraging students to engage actively in such competitions.
Bashir Masoudi provided insights into CMA courses and other associated opportunities in the field of commerce.
Chairman GVEI Mohammad Yousuf Wani congratulated all the participating schools and reaffirmed the Institute’s commitment to providing students with platforms for showcasing their talents and skills.
Principal GVEI M D Zargar in his address commendes the students for their enthusiasm and preparation.
He highlighted the significance of such quizzes in enhancing critical thinking and business acumen among students, encouraging them to make the most of the opportunities provided by the Institute.

Principal Zargar expressed his pride in the Institute’s continuous tradition of excellence and looked forward to more such engaging events in the future.
