Illegal Extraction of Minor Minerals Police Siezed 7 Tippers in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Jun 24 : Jammu and Kashmir Police Thursday seized seven tippers for illegal extraction of minor minerals in Central-Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Police in a statement said that they had been over the time receiving complaints of illegal extraction of sand, bajri and boulders, meant for unauthorized transportation to outside the district from native nallah Sindh. Consequently a team led by SHO Police Station Ganderbal, Salfi Arshid, raided the venue and seized seven loaded tippers on the spot, the official said.

The vehicles seized, as per the official, bear registration numbers; JK 01N-8216, JK 04A-3971, JK 19-1821, JK 01N-1152, JK 01M-7590, JK 01E-2148 and JK 02AF- 1941.

Multiple cases under FIR number 115/2021 under sections 188, 379 of law stands registered at Police Station Ganderbal and further investigations taken up in this regard, the official added.
