Illicit timber and firewood seized in Sopore outskirts

Sopore, Feb 04 : Police on Monday claimed to have siezed seized 48 sq ft timber and 400 kgs firewood in north Kashmir’s Rafiabad.

Sopore police in a statement said that large quantity of illegal timber and firewood siezed near Darul uloom Balhama Rafiabad which was to be smuggled by Ghulam Hassan Dar and Manzoor Ahmad Dar R/O Balhama were arrested.

Timber and Firewood was seized and handed over to Forest department police statement added.

Police statement further said that after proper procedure case FIR No. 05/2019 US 379/RPC. 6 F act registered and investigation taken up.
