SOPORE, Feb 4: With only selected people being allowed to meet Governor’s four Advisors in their Public Durbar in Sopore on Monday, the event virtually turned into a flop show.

According to reports, Governor’s four Advisors including Advisor G, Advisor SK and Advisor K had convened Public Darbar at Dak Banglow Sopore where only selected people were allowed inside to attend to meet the advisors.

A participant who wished not to be named told Kashmir Despatch: “This public durbar turned into a complete flop show after scores of civil delegations were not allowed inside to meet the advisors.” He asked, “If the delegations of people were not allowed to meet the advisors then for what purpose was this Public-Darbar convened?”

Group of delegations who were not allowed to meet the advisors told this newspaper that this is not something new for people of Sopore. “Since decades we the people of Sopore are suffering by these so called administrators who never give us chance to highlight our genuine grievances.”

A senior citizen of Sopore said that he had travelled a long distance to meet the advisors and submit y grievance but was not allowed to meet them.

He said: “Since morning I was waiting there without any food and water thinking that I will be allowed to enter the public durbar as per my allotted time (12 O’clock) but till 1 PM nobody from authorities bothered to listen to us.”

Meanwhile Additional Deputy Commission Sopore Ashiq Lily when contacted Kashmir Despatch termed it baseless and said that we had invited proper forums of town , he however added that due to security reasons everyone will not be given access to meet higher authorities.
