Srinagar, 21 Oct 2021. Indian Army and Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) jointly conducted Exhibition Wheel Chair Basketball and Sitting Volleyball matches at Baramulla.
The initiative is first of its kind in Baramulla District, wherein Para Athletes from across Kashmir Valley participated and showcased their sporting talent. Theme of the event was “Promotion of Health, Rights & Social Integration for Para Athletes”.
Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), an NGO, was established in the year 1970 and has been serving the cause of para athletes for the past 51 years.
Indian Army salutes indomitable will and enthusiasm of the participating para athletes, who have overcome their limitation through determination and showcased exceptional sporting talent during the event.
