Indo-Pak armies exchange fire across LoC in Tangdhar Kupwara

Indo-Pak armies Sunday exchanged heavy gunfire across the Line of Control in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kuowara district.

An official told Kashmir Despatch that Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked shelling in Tangdhar sector on Sunday and Pak shelling was retaliated effectively by Indian troops. He said no loss of life or injury to any person was reported in the incident.

Local sources said that after maintaining the silence on Line of Control (LoC) for over 20 days, the India and Pakistan armies exchanged gun fire again in this sector on Sunday.

Meanwhile, people of the area have started moving to safer places.
