Srinagar, Dec 19 : One of the three persons injured in a fatal road mishap earlier this month in Bijbehara has succumbed to injuries at SMHS hospital here on Sunday evening, taking the tally to 2.
Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir was injured alongside two others namely Shahzad Ahmad Bhat and Umer Ahmad Khan even as one Tanveer Ahmad Qureshi, a noted preacher, died on spot after a car they were travelling in hit a road divider on intervening night of December 9 and December 10.
The injured trio was taken to SMHS hospital for treatment. With two others discharged after treatment for several days, the now deceased Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir was undergoing treatment ever since.
Mir with critical injuries in head however succumbed this evening.
It has been learnt that funeral prayers to the deceased are scheduled to be performed at 10 AM on Monday in his native village in Trehgam, Kupwara. (GNS)
