Under the chairmanship of Mr. Gayas u din Teli council meet for Building on the Indian society of Radiographers and Technologists ISRT Srinagar Academic Club and ISRT JK Chapter’s recent commitment to strengthening ties with radiographers and Technologists in UT of J&K has stepped up its engagement at meetings for Radiographers Radiological Technologists and Technicians.
In recent years, ISRT in J&K has greatly increased the volume of content aimed at Radiographers, Technologists, and Students at its annual regional conference on the 8th of November in which around 250 Professionals and students Participated and made it a grand and successful academic Event.
Mr Zahoor Baba Patron of ISRT Srinagar Academic club Congratulated Team ISRT JK for organizing the mega academic event and growing the number of members to ISRT JK.
Vice Chairman Mr Bilal Alliae, joint Secretary Mr. Zahid Hamid and Mr. Mudasir Hussain, and other Council members, Mr Wajid Hamid, Mr. Basharat Ahmad, Mr. Adil Beigh also discussed feedback from Participants of the mega academic Event in which drawbacks and pitfalls from recent World Radiography day and Annual Regional Conference also were raised to learn for future organizing of Academic event.
Bilal Dar’s secretary suggested focusing on the four pillars of practice for a future action plan. Clinical Practice, Leadership, and Management, Education, Research and Development.
He said advancing scientific research in education makes select recommendations for strengthening science education research that will directly target policymakers, professional associations or Societies and universities to take lead in advancing the field as today’s radiographers must be an adaptive and agile practitioner, digitally enabled and, importantly, able to apply the evidence-based practice.
Mr. Bilal Dar also suggested encouraging students and professionals the involvement in research, he said although radiographers had positive attitudes towards radiography research, their involvement in Research and utilization of Research evidence in practice is low. He said Strategies should be developed to improve knowledge and skills related to evidence-based practice and stimulate radiographers’ engagement in Research that will support improved outcomes for patients through the education and development of the radiography workforce.
Miss Syed Nahida focused on Continuing professional development (CPD) essential in supporting both evaluations of current practice and innovation through research and development, to ensure that patients always receive the best possible care.
As there is a role extension of Radiographers and Technologists, due to recent advances in diagnostic and therapeutic Medical Technology new education and practice are needed to frame out for future vision that will embrace Change refer to the four pillars of practice to reflect the importance of the patient at the center of radiography practice. It will acknowledge the importance of increasing the evidence base to ensure that values-based patient care is provided, and that compassionate and patient-centered care is personalized to Practice safely and effectively within relevant legal, ethical, professional, and managerial frameworks and protocols
