Sopore : Jamsheed Choudhary assumed charge as assistant regional officer Baramulla h/q Sopore on Monday.
According to Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Choudhary after assuming charge interacted with the employees of the department who accorded a warm welcome to him.
Talking with Kashmir Despatch, Choudhury said he reviewed the problems related to traffic management in the district from the department.
The officer said he held detailed discussions with the officers of the department and was briefed about various steps being taken to improve the traffic management system in the district.
He said that ensuring safety on roads and institutionalizing professional planning in the domain of traffic management will be the top priority. He further said that those caught violating traffic rules would be dealt with strictly as per law.
The officer also appealed people to cooperation for running this institution transparency and smoothly.
