BARAMULLA, Sep 29: District President Jammu Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) Baramulla, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, has urged the authorities to consider the genuine demand of Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers appointed before 2010 for their inclusion in the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
Bhat said that teachers appointed before 2010 have rendered years of dedicated service to the education sector and their pension-related concerns deserve due consideration on humanitarian and equitable grounds.
He appealed to Mr. Shah Fayaz, Chairman JKECC and President JKTA, to strongly take up the issue with the concerned authorities and continue the struggle for a favourable resolution.
“The leadership of Shah Fayaz is a ray of hope for these teachers. We sincerely hope that he will champion the cause of pre-2010 ReTs and make every possible effort to secure justice for them,” Bhat said.
He further emphasized that the legitimate concerns of the teaching fraternity should remain a priority and expressed confidence that sustained organisational efforts can help in finding a fair and meaningful solution.
