Pleads for clearance of liability raised in the project
SRINAGAR, August 22: Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) leader and former legislator Javed Mirchal on Saturday urged the government for completion of black topping of Tangdhar-Hajitra road and not to leave the work half completed on the project.
In a statement issued here, Mirchal pleaded for the intervention of Liuetenant Governor Manoj Sinha so that the black topping of around 14 kilometers from Tangdhar to Hajitra via Gabra is completed without any further delay.
“The principal secretary PWD should address the financial difficulties, if any, faced by the department in completion of the project,” Mirchal said.
He said a huge population living in this area was subjected to huge inconveniences in abcense of dependable road.
“Since the department had after a long wait meted out the public demand by forumalting a project worth around Rs 16 Crores, the hiccups faced by the contractors in receiving their payments has impeded the plan,” he observed.
The JKAP leader hoped the administrative department would intervene into the matter and order immediate resumption of work on the project.
