The latest development marks a significant escalation in the internal conflict that has gripped the association since the announcement of its new office-bearers in May. Differences had emerged between President Javid Ahmad Kitab and other office-bearers, particularly over the authority to convene meetings and take administrative decisions under the JKCA Constitution.
The association had witnessed a series of disputes in recent weeks, including court interventions and competing claims regarding constitutional powers within the cricket body. The row had raised concerns among stakeholders and cricketers about the smooth functioning of cricket administration in Jammu and Kashmir.
The JKCA is yet to announce the next course of action regarding the functioning of the association following the suspension of its president.
