LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates Transit Accommodation in Sumbal

Bandipora, Apr 26:- The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, virtually inaugurated the Odina Sumbal Transit Accommodation in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.

The Deputy Commissioner of Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed, while speaking with the media on the sidelines of a function said that LG was scheduled to inaugurate the Odina Transit Camp but due to bad weather, he inaugurated it virtually. This is a significant development for the region, as it will provide much-needed accommodation to the people who travel to this area for various purposes.

The transit accommodation has been constructed at a cost of Rs 57.60 crores and comprises of 480 flats in 30 blocks. Each block is four-storied, with four flats on each storey, totaling up to 16 flats in one block. The structure is an RCC framed structure with arrangements for lifts provided. Brickwork has been done for the external and internal walls with wooden frames and shutters.
