665 Meter Readers/Technicians shifted
Srinagar : Managing director Kashmir power Distribution Corporation limited (KPDCL) Mr. Mohammad aijaz has ordered a major reshuffle of the Field staff in order to rationalise work distribution at the cutting edge level.
As per an order 665 No of field/executive staff (meter readers/Tech-III) across Kashmir province have been shifted from one Electric division to the other Electric division. This step has been taken in the interest of administration and smooth functioning of the system. Pertinent to mention that some of the staff was posted at one location since last 10-15 years. Directions in this regard were passed by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor few days back who had sought an immediate compliance in this regard.
The employees transferred include 60 in SE, O&M Circle I Sgr, 164 in SE, O&M Circle II Sgr; 47 in SE, O&M Circle Pulwama; 53 in SE, O&M Circle Bijbehara; 239 in SE, O&M circle Sopore; 102 in SE, O&M Circle Ganderbal.
The reshuffle is aimed at streamlining the work culture and giving an impetus to the Revenue realisation drive launched by Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation. This field staff has been asked to ensure effective public service delivery and increase public outreach.
