Srinagar : As National Conference Vice President and former Chief Minster appears to have finally decided to come out of the ” political hibernation”, many of his senior colleagues seem looking other way which could hamper the latter’s efforts of rejuvenating the mood of party workers who have been sulking for his long political sabbatical ever since his release from detention following abrogation of Article 370.
Omar Abdullah on Monday presided over a meeting of party leaders and constituency heads but what surprised many was the absence of nearly half a dozen senior most leaders.
Sources within the party told RNA, that senior most leaders including Aga Ruhullah , Ab. Rahim Rather, Mohammad Shafi Uri, Mian Altaf, Ishfaq Jabar, M. Akbar lone did not make to Nawa e Subah where Omar held the meeting.
Though , there is no official word about the absence of these leaders, rumours have been doing rounds that ” all is not well” in the belagaured party which is facing huge flak for failing to devise a formal stretegy viz a viz its promise of seeking restoration of 370.
The party workers- according to sources_ are also not happy with the long silence of Omar Abdullah on the issue which may have forced the leaders to hold back from today’s meeting .eversince his release from detention following abrogation of Article 370.
