Mayor Srinagar extends Navroz greetings

SRINAGAR, March 20: Mayor Srinagar, Junaid Azim Matoo has extended warm greetings to the people on the eve of Navroz.

In a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch, while describing Novroz as the festival that marks the beginning of the spring season, he said the day has a symbolic, religious and cultural importance too as the day signifies the new begining and rejuvenation.

In his message to the people on the occasion, he wished the people a very warm, happy, prosperous and peaceful life ahead.

“Navroz in Kashmir also symbolizes the age old brotherhood, communal harmony and coexistence, ” said the Hon’ble Mayor on the occasion.
