“Publishing is expensive for budding writers”

Sopore, Jan 20 : Zahid Ashraf, who hails from Shalimar Colony, Sopore has recently published his book, “Vibes that haunt” in order to give his thoughts a real form. He said that he has been connected with poetry since the year 2014.
Zahid has completed his schooling from a local school in Sopore and is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from Government College Of Pharmacy, Aurangabad, Maharashtra
While talking with Kashmir Despatch Zahid said, his poetic work was first published in an anthology, Those maybe’s in 2020. “I took part in an anthology in which many co-authors worked together. It was a great experience for me,” said the compiler of book. He got inspired and started writing his own book. He completed his book in the same year and published it on 28 December, 2020.
According to him the book publishing industries are expensive for budding writers.
So, he has decided to work with a publishing house, namely Writers Desk which, according to him, is affordable for everyone.
Meanwhile, he is working on a novel which he said will be published by the end of this year.
“Vibes that haunt contain poems, couplets and some micro tales. This book is a combination of life, love, joy and sorrows. Most of the poems are written in English but the book also contains some poems in Urdu language as well,” he added.
The author quoted, “And now what has become once ; Used to be “forever” back in a day.” while recalling some moments from his childhood.
In a message to youth he said, “We don’t have to give up on writing, write in any genre without caring for grammatical mistakes. The time comes when we omit our mistakes on our own.”
