Sopore, Nov 21: To promote the forgotten musical legacy of Kashmir among the local populace of Sopore region, the Sopore Rashtriya Rifles will be conducting a Sopore Musical Festival 2020 with Sad-e-Hunar.
This will be for the first time in the history of Sopore that a musical program of such a magnanimity will be organized. The theme of the event shall be “Let the Talent Flourish”.
Officials said that the mega musical event will be held t Sopore Degree College on 22 November, with eight singers performing to showcase the hidden talent in front of local populace especially young generation of Sopore region.
This initiative has been taken with an aim to give a suitable exposure to the talented singers of Kashmir and also to inspire hidden talent of the youth from Sopore region.
“It will also assist in building competitiveness amongst the local youth in future and will surely keep them away from the menace of drug abuse and prevailing militancy in the region,” an official said.
