Pulwama, Feb. 28: While speaking to the media personnel in town Haal Pulwama, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti called for the dialogue with people of Kashmir, to resolve the Kashmir issue.

“The same manner in which the differences were reached with China and Pakistan through dialogue, people of Kashmir must also be reached through dialogue,” said the PDP president, who was attending a party convention at Town Hall, Pulwama.

As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, Mehbooba said that the dialogue is the only way to stop bloodshed in Kashmir. She named the youth of Kashmir as main stakeholders for the dialogue with centre.

“The youngsters of Kashmir are picking up arms; getting killed in encounters. The only way to stop that is by reaching the youth for dialogue,” Mehbooba added further.

The PDP president took the opportunity to give a message to the youth, and said that the gun and stones are hardly a solution, and a dialogue must be the only means.

Hailing the farmers protest, Mehbooba Mufti said that the farmers must be looked as an inspiration by the youth of Kashmir.
“Their struggle is peaceful, and they are resorting to non-violent means in-order to register their demand.”

Mehbooba said that In the same manner in which the world has come out in advocation of protesting farmers because of their peaceful protest, if the people of Kashmir would be peaceful in registering their demands as well, it’s certain that their cry would be heard.

“We the People of Kashmir should peacefully try to resolve our issues, not only to restore the lost dignity, but also to find a solution to Kashmir issue,” Mehbooba added.

Ms Mufti as per Kashmir Despatch, said that the Kashmir issue has claimed thousands of lives, whether they be the lives of security personnel, of a militant or a civilian, the issue has consumed us.

“Therefore, it’s imperative that a permanent solution to the Kashmir issue is reached,” Mehbooba concluded on a pragmatic note.
