Srinagar : The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday carried out fresh raids in several locations in north Kashmir’s Kupwara in connection with arrested militant’s case.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch that a team of NIA assisted by J&K police and CRPF carried out raids at several locations in north Kashmir’s Kupwara with the recent arrest of a local militant.
Sources said that a team of NIA raided house of arrested militant Fayaz Ahmed Mir son of Sonuwallah Mir of Bumhama, and also Tahir Ahmed Dar son of Late Abdul Rashid Dar of Jagarpura Kupwara.
SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarikar when contacted Kashmir Despatch told that after development all details regarding the raids will be disclosed.
Pertinent to mention here that on January 30 Police arrested local Hizb militant during search operation in Bumhama Kupwara and recovered one AK 47 and other arms and ammunition from him.
