Militant killed in onging Srinagar Gunfight

SRINAGAR, Oct 12 : One militant has been killed in an ongoing gunfight which broke out between militants and security forces in central Kashmir’s Srinagar District on Monday morning.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that one militant has been killed sofar in the operation, he however, said the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
The officer said earlier a joint team of forces conducted searches in Rambagh area of Srinagar city following inputs about the presence of some militants.
As search party encircled the target house the hidding militants fired upon them thus triggering a gunfight he added.
