Bandipora Aug 10:-A Mini Marathon was conducted by Indian Army in association with District Administration Bandipora at Niru Tulail block of Gurez to celebrate Har Ghar Tiranga and Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate 75 years of independence and glorious history of it’s people, culture and achievements.
Total 113 participants of different age group to include School Students,Villagers and personnels of Indian Army,BSF and J&K Police participated in 3 Km metre and 6 Km run.
Mini Marathon has been introduced first time in history of Tulail valley. It was a grand success as people celebrated it as a festival. Top runners of all age group were given Medals and Cash Prize. Refreshment was also distributed at the end of Marathon.
Villagers of Tulail Valley thanked Indian Army for the initiative and took oath that Each House of Tulail Valley will become part of Har Ghar tiranga celebration and host Tiranga from 13 to 15 August .
