Paddy harvest torched in Pattan

BARAMULLA, Sep 27: Heaps of harvested paddy crop was set on fire by unidentified miscreants at Kripalpora Singpora of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday evening.
Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said the destroyed paddy harvest belonged to Parvaiz Ahmad of Kripalpora Seri Singhpora.The owner came to know after some people noticed flames and plummet of smoke coming from the spot and immediately alerted him and the fire department about the same.
Meanwhile police reached the spot and assured the locals that anybody found involved in this crime will be dealt strictly.
Pertinent to mention here is that today’s is the second such incident this week, after a similar incident was reported from a Sopore village where Paddy harvest was set ablaze by some unknown persons.
