Sirhama Gunfight ; Injured youth succumbs

Ananthnag, Sep 28 : A 35-year-old man who was injured along with three other persons after some explosive substance went off near gunfight site in Srihama area of Ananthnag last week, succumbed to his injures this morning.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that a 35-year-old man Identified as Mohammad Yaseen Rather son of Mohamamd Maqbool succumbed to his injuries at SMHS Srinagar after being hospitalized for three days.
Yaseen was among four persons injured when an explosion took place at the encounter site at Srihama area who had assembled there post the killing of two militants in the gunfight last week on Thursday.
Meanwhile, local reports reaching this newspaper said the other three injured are stable and are undergoing treatment.
In this regard Apni Party district president Anantnag and former legislator Abdul Rahim Rather had also expressed serious concern over Sirhama explosion.
Rather had appealed to the government to provide free of cost and best possible treatment to the injured persons. “Such types of incidents have now become very frequent. Security forces as well as the youth should observe high precautions while dealing under such circumstances,”rather had observed in a statement issued to Kashmir Despatch.
