Sopore, April 22 : A teenage girl who went missing in north Kashmir’s Sopore town was traced within 5 hours, police said.
Police in a statement said, Abdul Rashid Lone of Rampora Sopore lodged a complaint in which he stated that his daughter is missing from home. A missing report was lodged and an alert was issued in the entire town.
Statement reads, on the directions of SSP Sopore Javaid Iqbal directed SDPO Sopore Raja Majid for constitution of special team to trace out the missing girl,
accordingly a special team headed by SHO Police Station Sopore Inspector Azim Iqbal and Incharge Police Post Warpora Sub Inspector Mudasir Nazar.
The police team mobilised all resources and succeeded in tracing the missing girl from Lalpora Sogam area of Kupwara within 5 hours.
She was handed over to her family members after completing legal formalities, the police statement further reads.
