Sopore, Oct 28 : Amid the ongoing water crisis, MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar visited the water supply scheme in Gurseer and other areas on Monday to assess the situation and ensure that residents receive relief as the harsh winter months approach, preventing any shortage of water.
During the visit, MLA Sopore was accompanied by the Executive Engineer of the Jal Shakti Department and the Executive Engineer of the Mechanical Division of Sopore.
After reviewing the water supply schemes, MLA Sopore directed the relevant officials from the PHE division in Sopore to play a crucial role in providing relief to the community. He emphasized that if there is a decrease in water pressure in any area, water tankers should be deployed to those locations to prevent residents from experiencing hardship.
Furthermore, MLA Sopore stressed that personnel and machinery must always be prioritized for the benefit of the public, particularly in the lead-up to the winter months.
