The authorities withheld the social media accounts of The Kashmir Walla, a news portal based in Srinagar on Sunday.

Upon attempting to access @Tkwmag’s account, users are met with a message stating that the account has been withheld in India due to a legal demand.

Pertinently, Fahad Shah was arrested by Pulwama police on February 4. Shah, who runs the news portal and magazine Kashmiri Walla, has been charged with sedition. The police have filed three separate First Information Reports (FIRs) against Shah over the course of the last four years. He has been accused of glorifying terrorism, spreading fake news, and inciting the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Kashmir Walla, known for its independent reporting and diverse perspectives, has been actively engaged in covering various issues impacting the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
