Baramulla, Jun 17: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday attached an immovable property belonging to an arrested accused in Kanispora village of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said.
The attached property, comprising 7.5 marlas of land under Survey No. 1192, belongs to Shaheen Ahmad Lone, son of late Nazir Ahmad Lone, they said.
The action was taken under Section 33(1) of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in connection with NIA case RC-01/2020/NIA/JMU, officials added.
The attachment followed an order issued by the Special NIA Court, Jammu, on April 30, 2026, they said.
Shaheen was earlier arrested by the NIA in an alleged illegal arms case and is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, New Delhi, officials informed. (KNS)
