Over 20 villages of Shopian suffer of dilapidated roads, officers only give assurances

Shopian, July 22 : It could be cheap to express in 21st century that the dilpidated condition of roads in several villages of Shopian district has troubled locals who are fed up from hollow promises from officials since ten years.

Batmaran Wanpora Shopian Road is in Shameless Condition from Last One decade as officials are not paying any attention towards the problem and people of the area is being forced to face such problem.

Although The Batmaran Wanpora Shopian Road is connecting Shopian with Pulwama and Budgam Districts Respectively. However Local Population has Brought the matter into the notice of Concerned Deputy Commissioner’s since Ten Years they are being given Fake Promises by every District Administrator and Concerned Officials from Roads and Buildings Department(R&B).

Batmaran Wanpora Shopian Road is connecting at least 20 Villages to each other which is Comprising Thousands of Population Said a Local.He Further said that From last 10 Years they have Reached and knocked the Door of every offical but Nothing has Done So far.in Winters our area remains Cut off from the main District Headquarter,he added.

People of the area have held Many Protests against the Administration and they have been given fake Promises always said another Local,He further said that if in Future days they would not get it done they will take Streets.

People of the area are demanding immediate Redressal of the problem and Requesting Higher Officals to Intervene in the Problem.

In Harsh Winter People walk several kilo meters because road is not in Good Condition,if any medical Emergency comes no passenger vehicle like Sumo is taking us to Nearby Hospitals because of Dilapidated Condition of road.

Deputy commissioner Shopian Yasin Chowdhry has assured that in couple of Days work will start on the Road.

Meanwhile District President Bhartiya Janta Party Mohd Yousuf also Demanded for early Restoration of the problem so that People wouldn’t face any inconvenience. (KNS)
