Srinagar, April 07 : Security Forces launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Gulab Bagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday night ended on peaceful note officials said.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that anti militancy operation was launched after joint forces received specific inputs about the presence of militants in Shah-e-Hamdan Colony of Gulab Bagh area of city outskirts on Tuesday late night.
No contact was established in the 17-hour-long operation he said.
The official added that on Wednesday afternoon operation was called off after no militant was found in the area.
