Omar is best separatist when out of power, cruel mainstreamer when in power: Sajad Lone

0

Srinagar, Apr 07 : Peoples Conference chairman Sajad Gani Lone today said Omar Abdullah seems to have no recollection of the crimes of the National Conference against the Kashmiris in the last seven decades.

Addressing thousands of people in Hanjiveera, Pattan, Sajad said Omar Abdullah is the best separatist when out of power and a tyrannical mainstreamer when in power

“The “squeaky clean” Omar Abdullah has forgotten 2010 massacre of young children whom he labelled as drug addicts and criminals after he sent the young souls to their graves. He has also forgotten that he opposed the application moved by Afzal Guru for shifting to Kashmir jail,” he said.

Sajad said Omar Abdullah also seems to have forgotten that he was the first person from Kashmir ever, to be a part of the BJP government at the Centre in 1999.

“And what was his job? His job at the height of human rights violations in 1999 was to travel across the globe and present the Indian point of view to the world community. So while the Kashmiris were being killed in Kashmir, Omar Abdullah was defending the killers across the world capitals. Much the same way his grandfather Sheikh sahib towed New Delhi on Kashmir at the UN in 1948,” he said.

Sajad said Omar Abdullah brought and introduced pellet guns in Kashmir in 2010.

“Have you (Omar) forgotten that you placed the order for purchase of pellets guns? Can you enlighten us what was the intention in placing that order? Was it to play Holi or Diwali with your elite friends from Delhi or to use it against non-combatant Kashmiris?” he asked.

Sajad said Omar Abdullah’s father unleashed the brutal Ikhwan regime on to the hapless Kashmiris between 1996 and 2002. He said that New Delhi was willing to give autonomy to Kashmir in 1995-96, but Farooq Abdullah preferred power over it.

“It is also about time that people get to know about the genesis of the “government on platter” of 1996. This government was formed in the context of the “sky is the limit” statement of then Prime Minister Narsimha Rao who was seriously considering offering most liberal version of internal autonomy to the Kashmiri people. No Kashmiri party was willing to contest. Fearing delivery time for the Kashmiri people Farooq Abdullah decided to contest. The ugly terms of trade were similar to the 1975 accord. Give me power, have selection not election and you have to give nothing to the Kashmiri people, much the same way ex PM Sheikh Abdullah surrendered the PM post to take Oath as CM,” he said.

He said thousands of Kashmiris were killed and booked under Public Safety Act during the gifted regime of Farooq Abdullah.

“Can we ask Omar Abdullah how many Kashmiris were killed during the “gifted” regime of 1996, how many Kashmiris were slapped with PSA during that regime, How Farooq Abdullah welcomed POTA with open arms and gave it legal access into Kashmir and how joyful he was at imprisoning Kashmiris under POTA. Have you no shame,” he said.

Sajad said Farooq Abdullah sabotaged between New Delhi and militants in 2000.

“Don’t you remember how your father’s government scuttled the talks between militants and representatives of the union home ministry. It was the notorious CM office of 2001 under your father who called the media men and tipped them about the venue of talks. That was the end of talks and most of those involved in talks were killed. Do you have no burden of dead bodies on your conscience? This is a traitorous party and has always betrayed the Kashmiri people. They will go to any length to acquire power,” he said.

Sajad said Omar Abdullah has always allied with Congress party which is primarily responsible for eroding state’s autonomy.

“Does Omar Abdullah deny that Congress is the script writer of the massive erosions of State’s autonomy? When did Congress become angelic for the Kashmiris that Omar Abdullah is their permanent ally. Has he ever made a single statement while sharing power with them about the erosions and need for the erosions to be reversed,” he said.

BJP-PC two faces of same coin, their agenda is to obliterate every spec of our identity: Omar Abdullah

0

Uri, Apr 07 : Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah on Sunday asserted that the forces as are hell bent to obliterate the special status of the state are coming forth holding lotus and Apple in their hands saying that people across the state should beat their nefarious designs by actively participating in the ensuing Parliament elections.

Addressing a massive election campaign rally at Uri, party vice president said that the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir joined hands with the union of India on certain conditions and assurances. “We are not like any other state of India. We have our own flag, our own constitution. Today our state is facing onslaught on its special status from all sides. Forces as are inimical to the unity and integrity of our state are coming in different hues and some are holding lotus in their hands and some Apple. I caution you again about their nefarious designs. Their sole agenda is to obliterate the every spec of our special character.”

Omar said that the biggest problem that the state is facing is that of unemployment and any stride on Art-35 A will have far reaching consequences on the employment prospects of our youth. “Art 35-A confers upon us certain rights vis-à-vis employment and scholarship. Nonetheless, BJP-RSS and their cronies in the state want to snatch this right from our educated youngsters. The situation of unemployment is already grim in our state and doing away with Art 35-A will inadvertently put the future of our children in doldrums. In order to ensure our children a secure future we have to remain vigilant of these BJP-RSS cronies.”

“Today people from PC and PDP are coming to you for votes. But people of Uri are asking them as to where was their concern when people were fleeing Uri following border skirmishes; what happened to their promise of building roads. Where was their concern when our traders, students were being attacked upon across parts of country after Pulwama tragedy. We have seen how Sajad flaunted brotherly relations with Modi. He has many a times said that Modi was his elder brother. Why didn’t he ask his elder brother to ensure safety of our traders, students across the country?” he said.

While flaying BJP-PDP-PC combine for berating and betraying people’s mandate, Omar asked, “What happened to the promise of getting back power stations? How many youngsters were you able to give employment? All PDP-PC did while in government was to serve their own interests. We only saw Sajad throwing tantrums for getting plush cabinet posts. Why didn’t Sajad ask his elder Brother Modi to lessen the tyranny which was unleashed on people during 2016? We didn’t see him raise any voice for the people then.”

Omar while referring to the problems faced by the people in Uri said, “ During my stint as chief minister , we had mulled to give 5% reservation to Pahari Community however after PDP took over the reins of power the whole scheme was put into cold storage. Nevertheless, after Governor’s rule was imposed the Pahari community was given reservation; however the quota was reduced from 5% to 3%. In my government we had decided to give 5 percent reservation but the governor administration reduced it, why didn’t PDP and PC raise hue and cry over this undue step. I assure you that once NC is voted to power in the state with a strong mandate we will increase the reservation quota to 5 percent.”

Omar while flaying PDP and PC for providing space to BJP in the state said, “When I was the chief minister of the state I resisted the implementation of NFSA (National Food Security Act), however PDP-PC took no time to implement it. Today our mothers and sisters are finding it very difficult to run their kitchen. Who is to be blamed for it? GST was implemented by the PDP-PC –BJP combine as well. Today we see that every commodity and services being taxed heavily. Every edible has become dearer. The lives of lakhs of APL and BPL consumers have been put to duress. Who is to be blamed for it? People are better judges of the follies of PDP-PC. Posterity will never forgive them for playing havoc with the interests of the people of the state of ours.”

“The PDP-BJP combine has aggravated the situation to the extent that the sole artery of ours, our national highway has been closed for civilian traffic. Where will the patients go who are being referred to Srinagar hospitals? What will the students do?”

Omar said that people are the real source of power and the sole purpose of the leadership is to serve people. “Political class is meant to serve people. National Conference once in power will ensure that the people of Uri get their due share in the border trade. My colleague Sajad Uri has a vision for the area. He wants to take this constituency towards development. His vision espouses bringing Uri on the tourism map. However all that is possible only if the people of Uri strengthen his efforts. In fact we all have to converge our energies to work for a developed and prosperous Uri at large,” adding, “Today we are going to face semi finals in the shape of parliamentary elections, this time we have to ensure that Akbar Lone Sahib wins with a thumping margin; however we have to keep up the momentum up to assembly elections,” he said. Omar a ‘waiter’ can’t defend Article 370, Article 35-A: Imran Ansari

0

Srinagar, Apr 07 : Peoples Conference General Secretary and former minister Imran Raza Ansari on Sunday called National Conference vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah a “waiter” and said that he can’t defend Article 370 and Article 35-A.

While addressing an election rally at Hanjiwera Pattan Ansari asked an enthusiastic crowd to come out to vote for defeating Akbar Lone and victory of PC candidate Raja Aijaz Ali. Ansari said Omar Abdullah has roots in Delhi and London but not in Kashmir where the brunt of detention has been worst faced by PC chairman Sajad Gani Lone.

Recalling that Sajad Gani Lone having himself spent 40 cruel days in infamous detention centre at Papa two in Srinagar has the feeling of torture of youth in detention cells, Ansari said, “There is no threat to Article 370 and Article 35-A but NC leaders are spreading canards to get votes in upcoming Lok Sabha elections and betray the people the way they have betrayed them in the past.” (KNS)

PC rally at Pattan was a defiance against civilian traffic ban on highway: Sajad Lone

0

Srinagar, Apr 07 : Peoples Conference chairman and former minister Sajad Gani Lone on Sunday claimed that his party’s rally at Hanjiwera Pattan on Srinagar-Baramulla highway was a total defiance against ban on the movement of civilian traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway and in the same breath blamed National Conference and PDP for erosion of autonomy as the two parties were running governments in alliance with Congress several times in the past.

While talking to reporters after addressing an election rally at Hanjiwera Pattan, the Peoples Conference chairman alleged that National Conference and PDP are themselves spreading canards about abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35-A and beating chests over the special status of the state just to get votes and mislead people.

Saying that Omar Abdullah was the foreign minister and Mehbooba Mufti the chief minister under BJP rule at the centre and in the state, Lone said, “Late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah surrendered the 53 position by virtue of an accord with the then Congress government at the centre in 1975 and we once voted to power will take on board the separatists for restoring the special status in its totality as mainstream parties responsible for detentions under PSA and killings can’t be part of any resolution on Kashmir issue.”

Claiming that Peoples Conference will emerge as the highest vote taking part in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections, PC chairman said, “the public mood for perceptible change on ground is visible and once the voting machines will be opened on May 23 the results will narrate the real tale of Kashmir electorate to both National Conference and PDP.

Undeclared Martial Law in Kashmir : Er. Rasheed

0

Bandipora 07 April: Intensifying his election campaign, AIP Parliamentary candidate for North Kashmir Er. Rasheed carried out more than two dozen rallies in Bandipora, Sonawari, Naidkhai, Bathipora, Boon and Rafiabad and thanked people for turning his election campaign into a movement.

Addressing the gatherings Er. Rasheed urged masses to vote in huge numbers and become part of the movement. Er. Rasheed said “It is obvious that people have revolted against all anti-Kashmiris forces including NC, PDP and PC who have acted as collaborators of New Delhi and reduced themselves to the level of casual laborers of their masters.

While some times election boycott becomes a necessity but under changing circumstances casting vote to reject New Delhi’s proxies has become mandatory and masses should make a difference between their friends and foes. Kashmiris need to send their ambassadors to the Indian parliament who can tell spade a spade”.

Er. Rasheed reiterated that suppressive measures by New Delhi have a direct link and relationship with NC, PC and PDP as these parties have sold their conscience. He said “The worst kind of colonial approach has yet again been exposed as the vehicular traffic on so called national high way has been stopped and it is like declaring martial law in Kashmir. Kashimir has been virtually handed over to army and J&K police has no role whatsoever in dealing with the situation”.

Er. Rasheed urged world community to take notice of New Delhi’s undeclared war against Kashmiris and also asked Indian intelligentsia to read the writing on the wall. Besides Er. Rasheed Sheikh Qawam-u-din Shilwati and Prince Parvez addressed the gatherings.

Dr Veeri condemns attack outside NC leader’s residence, says act aimed to harass NC leadership ahead polls

0

Srinagar : National Conference South Kashmir Zone president and former MLC Dr. Veeri has condemned the incident outside Ex MLA Sakeena Yetoo’s residence.

He termed the mysterious blast outside Sakeena Yatoo’s Kulgam residence an act to harass NC leadership and workers ahead of polls.

Dr Veeri urged the administration to launch an inquiry into the incident and nab the culprits so that such acts won’t be repeated.

“As per Sakeena itoo, it was a firecracker that was thrown outside her residence. Time and again such tactics are carried out by our opponents only to create a sense of panic in our party ahead of upcoming elections,” Dr. Veeri said.
