Mehbooba Mufti is extra shameless: Er Rasheed

0

Handwara 27 March : Challenging his rival candidates from NC, PDP and PC to have an open debate at a place and timing of their choice AIP President and candidate from Baramullah parliamentary constituency Er. Rasheed has said that his rivals have no moral right to talk over various sensitive and burning issues as they are the architects of miseries and sufferings of Kashmiris.

While addressing public gatherings at Warpora, Magam, Dudikote Kupwara, Gushi, Kupwara Gonipora Handwara, Dangerpora Sopore and other places Er. Rasheed appealed masses to rise to the occasion and teach their enemies a lesson. He said “it is strange that all the so called three regional parties are behaving like concubines of BJP and Congress and have degraded and disgraced Kashmiris in every forum and in every form. The leaders of these parties have created huge assets by indulging in corruption and misusing their position from time to time. Before taking moral ground on governance and corruption let the leaders of these parties give details about their assets and tell masses how they have created them.

While common masses continue to struggle for bread and butter the white collar elite political class and most of the bureaucrats have looted state and become multimillionaire overnight. Most of them have managed assets by illegal means in foreign countries but are still trying to give a notion as if they are angels”.

Expressing surprise over Omer Abdullah’s and Mehbooba Mufti’s allegations and counter allegations over each other Er. Rasheed asked people to think ten times before voting either of their nominees in the elections. He said “Mehbooba Mufti is becoming extra shameless by talking about Jamat-I-Islami and JKLF. She needs to be reminded the fact that her tenure as Chief Minister was much more brutal than the atrocities Kashmiris faced in Maharaja’s regime.

By trying to show her sympathy with Kashmiris is like adding salt to the injuries and she will get nothing out of this mockery and cheap politics except losing her credibility.

PDP castigates Omar Abdullah over his anti-PDP remarks

0

Srinagar, Mar 27 :  Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday flayed NC Vice President Omar Abdullah over his recent anti-PDP remarks, saying that it is NC which is responsible for all the insurmountable predicament surrounding Jammu and Kashmir since 1947.

Addressing party functionaries, workers and supporters from Srinagar’s Amira Kadal constituency, party general secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura said that by going through the recent statement of Omar Abdullah, it becomes clear that it was him as the chief minister who extended  invitation to NIA to come to the state.  Hanjura said that now in a bid to cover his own blunders, NC Vice President is  levelling baseless allegations against the PDP.

Hanjura said that  it is fact acknowledged widely by one and all  that it was PDP that successfully resisted for four years the anti – Kashmir policies that BJP was trying to implement which include banning organisations like Jamaat-e Islami and JKLF and unleashing the reign of terror in Jammu and Kashmir.

Hanjura said that the PDP formed government with the BJP only to protect the core interests of the state and to disallow the saffron bridge from implementing its anti- Muslim and anti-  state agenda. “The PDP was successful in withdrawing 12 thousand FIRs,   make GOI declare unilateral ceasefire and inviting Hurriyat for talks. It employed country’s best lawyers to protect Article 35- A in the Supreme Court and such measures left BJP with no other option but to run away from coalition,” Hanjura said.

He added that on the others hand, in the year 1996, there was no presence of BJP when Farooq Abdullah with sixty MLAs aligned unnecessarily with the BJP to accommodate his son as a junior minister.

PDP’s Srinagar District President and MLC Mohammad Khurshid Alam who presided over the meeting of Amira Kadal constituency said NC’s nowadays statements and speeches are becoming cruel jokes as people of the state are well aware about the policies the party has been employing since 1947 to crush dissent and subjugate people. “soon after assuming office after 1996, the national conference regime invented the most inhuman ways to torture the innocent people of Kashmir and enacted new laws like POTA, TADA and many more, making Kashmir one of the most dangerous places on earth to live,” Alam said.

Alam said that Amira Kadal continues to remain PDP’s strong bastion people are aware about the pro-people policies of the PDP and how the party stood against all odds to protect Jammu and Kashmir and its interests since inception.

PDP leaders and functionaries who were present on the occasion include Abdul Hameed Kosheen,  Haji Parvez Ahmad, Aijaz Ahmad Rather, Nisar Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, Tanvir. Ahmad, Ali Mohammad, Jan Muhammad and representatives from all wards  of Amira Kadal were present.

1975 Indira-Sheikh Accord changed special status, altered relationship between Delhi and Srinagar :Sajad Lone

0

Srinagar, Mar 27,  : Lashing out at the double speak of National Conference and the Abdullah family, People’s Conference Chairman, Sajad Gani Lone said that the dynastic rulers of party are of the best separatists when out of power and one of the worst & cruel mainstreamers when they are in power.

“When they are out of power, they remember all erosions made to Article 370, they talk about our special identity, they raise a hue and cry about human right abuses but when they are in power, they kill with impunity,” he said.

Lone argued that it was surprising that the party with the worst track record of human right abuses is sermonising people about killings.  “And it is strange that they lecture people about human right violations, about erosions, about Article 370 when they are ones who violated all of these. We don’t want to rake up history but the people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve to know what happened given that the ones who destroyed the special status are now sermonising.”

He emphasized that National Conference cannot keep hoodwinking people in a world where information is easily accessible to all.

Revealing some lesser known and forgotten facts from the history, Sajad Lone said that Indira-Sheikh accord of 1975 diluted our special status and with transferred maximum powers to Delhi.

“We repeat that one of the most critical events which changed the history of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and drastically altered the relationship between Delhi and Srinagar with transferring maximum powers to Delhi and diluting powers of Srinagar was the Indira-Sheikh accord of 1975. It is here that the former Prime Minister of the state, chose to officially ratify the the official demotion of Prime Minister to Chief Minister. May we ask Omar Abdullah what was the compulsion for Congress to give power on a platter to Sheikh Abdullah? There was no strife. There was no agitation. There was no militancy. The only reason was that they wanted an official ratification by an ex Prime Minister and incidentally Sheikh Abdullah, the only living Prime Minister of the state at that time, did that for them”, he added.

Sajad said that erosions to special status is the cost borne by Kashmir to keep Sheikh and National Conference in power.

“Sheikh Abdullah agreed to not reverse the erosions that had taken place – another seal and stamp of shame by National Conference in agreeing not to reverse what had been eroded”, he added.
