Police Appeals General Public To Remain Vigilant About 03 Lady Theives Active In The City

Srinagar Police has appealed public to remain vigilant regarding activities of 03 lady theives active in the city and are currently evading arrest.

Police received few complaints from some time regarding the activities of lady theives in the city.

On 16.07.19,03 lady theives namely 1.Tahira W/o. Altaf Ahmad Shiekh R/o Umarabad, Gul Colony
2. Mumtaza W/o. Lt.Mohd Afzal Sheikh A/P Lawaypora and
3. Naseema W/o. Lt.Zahid Hussain Naqvi A/P Parimpora have stolen golden bangle from an elderly lady near Badyari Chowk,Dalgate.This is the second such incident committed within a weeks time.

Accordingly FIR No. 57/19 U/s 382 RPC and 60/19 U/s 379 RPC were registered in Police Station Ram Minshi Bagh and investigation taken up.Police Investigating team obtained the CCTV footage from the area and from the CCTV footages,it is clear that ladies are involved in the thefts.

The ladies are clearly visible in the video/Photographs,who after stealing are running away.

Reportedly these ladies are seasoned theives and besides pickpocketing, they target old ladies and steal away golden ornaments from them especially at crowded places and private buses.These ladies are residents of Parimpora area but frequently change their residence and are currently on run.

General public especially ladies are advised to be aware/vigilant against them.Hunt to nab them is going on.
