Police refutes report of slapping fine of Rs 3000 for covid-19 from a person in Chadoora

Srinagar, July 20: Police on Monday refuted the incident which has been circulated on social media over allegation of slapping fine of 3000 from a person for Covid-19 behavior in Chadoora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

In a statement to Kashmir Despatch, the police said one video was in circulation on Social media alleging therein that Police at Chadoora Budgam have taken Rs 3000/- from them as fine of covid appropriate behavior.

The spokesman further said that the matter was verified and it was found that the involved person was fined Rs 100/- during Covid enforcement measures for not wearing a face mask.

The video has been deleted by the social media user after proper verification by Budgam Police, added the spokesperson.
