Police releases posters of ‘wanted’ militants in Sopore, announces reward

Sopore : After Kishtwar and Doda now Police in Sopore town of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday released pictures of three “wanted” militants announcing cash reward of Rs 10 lakh for information leading to their arrest or killing.

Reports reaching Kashmir Despatch said that Sopore police on Sunday publicised posters of three wanted militant including Naseer Ahmed Lone , Sajjad Ahmed Mir @alais Haider , both residents of Brath Sopore and Asif Ahmed of Handwara town and declaring cash reward for sharing information about these militants.

Sources told this newspaper that banners carrying photographs and details of these militants were put up by Sopore police outside the police station carried telephone numbers for general public for sharing information.

The posters carrying pictures of three militants has been put up at different locations also in town by police and also assured potential informants of keeping their identity secret.

SSP Sopore Javeed Iqbal also confirmed to Kashmir Despatch about these posters and said that all the three are behind the recent grenade attack in town in which more than 20 people were injured. He said that we hope the people will cooperate and will provide the necessary information leading to their capture or killing.
