DDC Assured for Timely Redressel of Public Grievances

Baramulla, April 30: With an aim to evoke the first hand appraisal of public grievances, District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo today chaired a public grievance camp at Dak Bungalow Sopore where he listened to the public grievances. The camp marked the participation of various delegations, deputations and other representatives of the area.

Various deputations of civil societies and other associations that appraised their grievances includes Traders Federation Sopore, Coordination Committee Sopore, Industrial Estate Sopore, Traders Federation Sopore, Bus and Sumo Owners Unions. The representatives of these associations put forth their demands and grievances pertaining to different sectors. They demanded the establishment of a proper garbage dumping site in main town Sopore so that the proper solid waste management is ensured. They also appraised the concerned about the adequate deployment of traffic police personal for the smooth flow of transport in the town. Moreover, other demands that were raised during the camp includes deployment of manpower in Sub District Hospital Sopore, macdimization of roads,interrupted water and power supply especially during the holy month of Ramadhan and other demands of public importance.

Meanwhile, DDC gave a patient hearing to the deputations and assured them that their genuine demands will be looked into. He also passed on spot directions to the concerned officers for redressel of various grievances and directed the officers to maintain close liaison with the local population so that their grievances are redressed at the earliest.

DDC also directed the officers to conduct field visits regularly so as to remain apprised about the problems faced by the people and the same can be projected before the administration for quick redressel.

ADC Sopore, SSP Sopore, Engineers of various line departments, district and sectoral officers and various other concerned were present on the ocassion.
