Srinagar, Oct 05 : After Samba and Poonch districts in Jammu division, Ramban becomes third district in the erstwhile state to complete 100 percent first dose vaccination in all above 18 years of age.
An official said all 2,51,180 persons coming under the 18-44 year age category have been given the first dose of vaccine while 99,746 (46 percent) have been given the second dose of vaccination in the district.
In aggregate form around 90 percent have been given the first dose while 41 percent people in Jammu Kashmir have been given the second dose of Covid vaccination under the 18-44 age category so far.
In Jammu division five more districts are set to achieve the feat in the next few days where around 90 percent people have already been given their first dose of vaccination.
In Kashmir division’s Anantnag district where around 94 percent people have been vaccinated is leading, followed by Budgam with 92 percent and Shopian and Srinagar with 91 percent.
The vaccination drive in J&K was started on 16 January this year.
Around 12,190,802 doses of vaccine have been administered so far in J&K—(KNO)
