Second round of Sumlar T20 cricket tourney commences
Bandipora, Sept 23: The second round of Sumlar T20 cricket tournament commenced on Tuesday in north Kashmir’s Bandipora distirct.
The tournament is being organized by Army’s 14 RR Unit on a knockout basis in Sumlar village of Bandipora.
An official spokesperson said that day nine of the Sumlar T 20 Cricket Tournament saw the first match of the second round of the tournament.
He said that the match was played between Chuntimula Sports club and Badshah Sports Sumlar.
“The closely contested match was won by Chuntimula Sports Club who put up a score of 82 runs against the home side.”
The spokesman said Badshah Sports were unable to chase the score as they lost early wickets in the form of their star openers and the middle order also crumbled under the pressure of excellent bowling and fielding of their rivals.
