December 20: Shopian police organized a police public meeting at main town Shopian. The meeting was chaired by SSP Shopian Shri Sandeep Chouhary- IPS along with DySP Headquarter Shopian.
The meeting was attended by the locals of the area. During the meeting, various issues were raised by the participants. The chairing officers assured the participants that issues pertaining to police will be redressed on priority and those pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned authorities.
Cooperation was sought from the participants in eradicating the social crimes from the society. Community members hailed the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinion freely.
SSP Shopian in his address to the community members particularly the youth of Shopian assured them of all possible assistance and help.
He appreciated the talent of youth from Shopian and advised them to orient themselves towards the studies and other competitive exams so that they can establish a successful career for themselves.
The participants thanked & assured full cooperation to curb the social evils in the area.
