Kupwara, April 26 : No sigh of relief, lockdown rules will be in place in red zone Kupwara in north Kashmir till May 03.
An official told Kashmir Despatch that order for relaxations for shop openings is not applicable for Kupwara as it’s a hotspot district with large outbreak falling in Highly Alarming category.
The official said, In the rural areas of the district, only shops selling essential commodities including fruits, vegetables, groceries and dry fruits shall be allowed to open from 5pm to 7pm everyday subject to usage of masks and social distancing.
He added, any shop not following the SoP to be shut down immediately.
He said all Tehsildars may deploy officials/Volunteers to monitor this activity daily.
As regards Town areas of Kupwara, Handwara and Red Zone Anderhama, all shops to remain shut and only home deliveries to continue as already in place under overall supervision of concerned ADCs and facilitation by AD FCS the official added.
