Situation in Kashmir Critical Even a Year After Abrogation : Sitaram

SRINAGAR, July 29 : The Chief of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) Sitaram Yechury has demanded the release of all detained Kashmiris who were arrested after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, last year, and were lodged in jails of India and Jammu Kashmir.

In a statement CPI(M) detailing the proceedings of the two-day meeting of Central Committee meeting read that Yechury had demanded the immediate restoration of 4G internet services and demanded lifting of curbs on the movement of people.

The Central Committee meeting of the party was of the view that the situation in Kashmir remains critical even after nearly a year of the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A.
