Sopore Police Administration on toes: Locals hail the move

Sopore Mar 30: As the sun rose the chaotic streets of this apple town seen an unusual calm, like rest of the valley as the Administration has intensified the restrictions across the town and its outskirt from day one, with this aim to combat the global epidemic by confined the locals to remain inside four walls.

The present Uncertainty has shrouded the people of the valley due to coronavirus scare, and on the other hand, the poor section of society has a fear of starvation, which doubles their anxiety. However, the police in Sopore From SSP Javeed Iqbal to SDPO Raja MAjid to SHO Azim Iqbal had come up with the helping hand to facilitate such poor sections by distributing some food items.

Locals told this newspaper that not only the essential commodities for poor section, but the local police had intensified their services by making such proper arrangements for Gas, Oil, ATMs, etc by putting their lives at risk.

According to police spokesperson, locals in the Sopore district have supported every step which has taken up the administration to impose curbs.

Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to state and Union Territory administrations to ensure that rules and regulations of the coronavirus lockdown are enforced as he noted that many people are not taking the measure seriously. However, the state administration of Jammu and Kashmir had set-up various monitoring and supervision teams to have a first-hand report from ground zero, to nab the violators.

Meanwhile, in the apple town the local police and Civil administration have fitted the Public Address system on their vehicles, urging people to remain indoors, which has been hailed by the locals.
