Sopore women’s body fished out from Jhelum after 20 days

Srinagar, May 13 :- A body of woman who had drowned into the river Jhelum in Dokalbal Sopore area of North Kashmir on April 22 this ear, was fished out after around 20 days, officials said in Saturday.

An official told news agency— Kashmir Scroll that the woman had river into the river Jhelum at Dokalbal Sopore on 22 April.

Efforts were made to retrieve her body shortly after the incident, but all in vain as authorities failed to retrieve the body.

The official said her was retrieved by the locals in of Baramulla today following which the body was taken to GMC Baramulla.

After completion of all formalities, the body will be handed over to the family for the last rites, he said.
