Seeking intervention of LG Administration
Bijbehara November 02: Contractors Association South Kashmir Monday staged protest demonstrations in the promises of PHE division Bijbehara.
The contractors were demanding immediate release of their payments.
All the contractors who had come from Kulgam, Pulwama , Awantipora, shopian and adjoining areas of Anantnag assembled in PHE division Bijebhera to press authorities to release their payments and make some technicalities easy while processing their bills.
Protestors assembled with paly cards and raised pro-justice slogans. They said that they were forced to take streets as authorities have failed to release their due payments from past many years.
All the contractors in one voice said their profession has suffered and it is very difficult for them to meet their both ends.
They alleged huge liabilities have got piled up in different divisions of South kashmir and no payment has been released so far .
They urged LG Manoj Sinha Jammu Kashmir to personally look into the matter and seek detailed report from the authorities .
These contractors boycotted to take part in tendering process too .
