Students of 11th class again protest in Sopore demanding mass promotion

Sopore, Oct 15: Students of Class 11th again hit the streets and staged a protest in Sopore demanding mass promotion.

As per Kashmir Despatch Correspondent, scores of students from different schools of Sopore town gathered in Iqbal Market, with play cards and banners seeking mass-promotion.

They raised slogans in favour of mass promotion and said in view of prevailing situation, students suffered a lot and their academic session was adversely affected.

They however said mass promotion is the only solution to their sufferings.

Pertinent to mention here this is second time in this week students of class 11th hit the streets, demanding mass promotion in Sopore town.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Sajad Hussain reached the spot and assured students matter will be taken to the higher authorities of Jammu and Kashmir Board.

Meanwhile, an official at JKBOSE told Kashmir Despatch that there is no chance of giving mass promotion to students of any class. The government has already announced 30 percent relaxation in syllabus in exams for students of class 10th to 12th.
