Suicide attempt foils in Sopore

Sopore, April 30 : Locals in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday afternoon timely intervened to prevent a girl from committing suicide.

Reports reaching news agency Kashmir Scroll that one girl (name withheld) of Sempora aged around 21-years-old jumped into Phuru nallah from Mazbug bridge however locals present there rushed towards her rescued her within no time.

Reports said immediately she was taken to nearby hospital where her condition is said to be stable.

While confirming it, an official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that they are looking to ascertain under what circumstances the girl tried to end her life. (KS)
