Sopore police Friday thanked common masses for their efforts to adhere the health department laid SOPs and cooperation with the administration in order to stop spread of Coronavirus.
Station House Officer Sopore Azim Khan thanked people of Sopore township for the necessary cooperation in implementing the covid 19 lockdown by following the proper SOPs.
He said that people of Sopore are responsible citizens and hopefully they will follow all the proper procedures to fight the deadly virus of COVID-19.
“Sopore is a centrally located place and people from Baramulla, Handwara, Kupwara and Bandipora do visit the town and Sopore police had a good time to keep people restricted to their places. But we saw a great cooperation from the side of common people,” SHO Sopore said.
Khan said that people must mantain physical distance and wear a mask at their places also and don’t leave any room for the virus to make it to our homes.
“We both administration and people have to collectively defeat this virus for our own safety, for the safety of our families and friends. Let’s take pledge to help each other in this crucial time by maintaining social distancing,” he added.
While thanking his team of police personnel Azim said that at the times of coronavirus pandemic when doctors have been on the frontlines in the fight to curb the spread of the deadly infection, police personnel have been working tirelessly to keep roads free from violators hitting the streets.
A complete lockdown was observed in Sopore township and vicinity following the order issued by UT administration to observe a three day lockdown.
Meanwhile bakers, mutton sellers, agricultural shops and milk vendors remained open for a specified time for the convenience of common people.
