Srinagar, April 20 : Police on Monday said it has arrested two militant associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit in southern region of Kashmir.
An official told Kashmir Despatch, on specific input about the movement of two militant associates of JeM outfit who were planning to attack on security force deployment, Shopian police laid a naka near Wachi petrol pump, while observing naka two suspects tried to flee from spot but deployed joint team of Army’s 55 RR, CRPF 178 bn, Jammu and Kashmir Police Shopian overpowered both the suspects and were detained.
Officer said a pistol, two grenades were recovered from their possession.
During interrogation duo accused claimed themselves as associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad militant outfit and were proved arms and ammunition recently.
