Kupwara, Dec 15 : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two youth with petrol bottle during the District Development Council (DDC) elections rally in Kupwara.
Sources told Kashmir Despatch that Tariq Manjoon Mir, Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) candidate was conducting a rally in Kupwara. However, during the rally, some slogans were raised, whereas allegedly two youths were apprehended with petrol bottle by Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to Kashmir Despatch, SSP Kupwara Sriram Ambarikar said, “Two local youth were seen carrying petrol bottle during a DDC election rally. As slogans were raised during the rally, these two youth were apprehended by Jammu and Kashmir police and both the duo are arrested and further questioning is on. More details will be followed later”.
